Learn about your inner self from those who know such things,
but don't repeat verbatim what they say.
- Rumi (Barks)
This is one of the reasons why I love this guy so much. How Unitarian can you get? There is lots of help and guidance out there from those who have gone before us. There are lots of tales of searching and stumbling, of seeking and finding and losing and getting it as well as just getting confused. So many guides. But that is just what they all are: guides.
It has been said of another great one, Carl Jung, that it is helpful to keep in mind that Jung's Psychology is Jung's psychology; it's not yours. His amazing studies and journeys are not there for you to adopt, but to guide your own study and journey. So with Rumi, Jesus, Moses, Mirabai, Muhammed, Krishna, Rabia, Lao Tzu, Hafiz - the list could go on and on. They all know something about the inner self. And they invite you to get to know yours.
