Ruminations

What would Rumi do?

I mean, as far as a certain former Cleveland Cavalier is concerned.

Well, Rumi moved once in his life, from what is now Afghanistan to central Turkey, called Anatolia.  He was a young child at the time, and so grew up there in Konya.  When he came of age, he became a teacher like his father.  Even after he met Shams of Tibriz, and had the experience that changed his life and deepened his spirituality, he stayed in Konya, only leaving after Shams mysteriously disappeared one night, to search for him.  In Damascus he had another deep realization:  "Why should I seek? I am the same as he [i.e. Shams].  His essence speaks throuh me.  I have been looking for myself!"

At which time, he returned to Konya and remained for the rest of his life.

'Nuff said.
