UU Ministry for Earth
Our mission is to guide the congregation and individual members to integrate respect for the interdependent web of all life, of which we are a part (the UUA 7th principle) into worship, education, social justice, advocacy in the community and sustainable polices and practices in everyday behavior.
The Commitee has started and supports a number of programs, including paper and container recycling, compact fluorescent lamp sales and use, and environmental discussion groups.
The Committee is working toward earning certification as a "Green Sanctuary" through the national Unitarian Universalist Ministry for Earth (UUMFE). Our application for Green Sanctuary candidacy was accepted by the UUA Office of Congregational Stewardship Services in March, 2009.

Community Garden
The yellow trap is for the 2009 Buckeye Lady Beetle Blitz.
The Garden Task Force of UU Ministry for Earth spearheaded the planning for the Community Garden southwest of the parking lot. Our goal is to create a garden space that can be used by Church members and others in the community, with some space dedicated to contributions to food programs.
Individual garden plots are available to individuals and families who are interested in tending them throughout the summer. Plot sizes are 4' x 8'. There is a $10 fee for water and incidental consumable items.
